Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated On-Site Property Manager to oversee the daily operations of our residential community. This role is essential in ensuring exceptional property management, fostering positive resident relationships, and maintaining the property's overall appearance and functionality. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, and possess a strong background in property management, customer service, and legal administrative procedures. Your leadership will drive resident satisfaction, lease compliance, and operational excellence, creating a welcoming environment for all residents and visitors.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of property operations, including leasing, rent collection, maintenance coordination, and tenant relations.
  • Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations, Section 8 guidelines, LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) requirements, and other relevant legal standards.
  • Utilize Yardi and OneSite property management software to perform data entry, lease processing, and reporting functions efficiently.
  • Oversee property leasing activities by conducting tours, upselling amenities or units, and negotiating lease agreements with prospective tenants.
  • Handle legal administrative tasks such as reviewing contracts, managing eviction procedures in accordance with landlord-tenant law, and maintaining accurate filing systems.
  • Coordinate property maintenance and facilities management through CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System), ensuring timely repairs and upkeep.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing resident inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy while maintaining excellent phone etiquette.
  • Resolve conflicts between tenants or staff through effective conflict management strategies while fostering a positive community atmosphere.
  • Maintain accurate records of all leasing activities, maintenance requests, incident reports, and compliance documentation.
  • Support sales initiatives by identifying opportunities for upselling additional services or amenities to current residents.

Experience

  • Proven experience in property management or real estate administrative roles with a focus on residential communities.
  • Familiarity with LIHTC programs, Section 8 housing regulations, Fair Housing laws, and landlord-tenant law is highly preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with Yardi or OneSite property management software is essential.
  • Strong background in legal administrative processes related to contracts, evictions, and compliance documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle conflict resolution effectively while maintaining professional relationships.
  • Excellent customer service skills combined with office experience including data entry, filing, and general administrative tasks.
  • Knowledge of property maintenance coordination using CMMS systems or facilities management tools is a plus.
