Job Summary:

Fiesta Mart is looking for a friendly and motivated Bakery Helper to join our team. As a Bakery Helper, you will assist the Bakery Manager in delivering exceptional customer service, helping customers with bakery needs, maintaining clean and attractive displays, and supporting daily bakery operations. This role is perfect for someone who loves food, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in offering outstanding service to the community.

Responsibilities:

• Welcome customers warmly and assist them in selecting bakery products and fulfilling special requests.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of bakery shelves, display cases, and self-serve areas.
• Refresh and reorganize bakery items to maintain their freshness and visual appeal.
• Coordinate with the baker to determine which items need to be baked or decorated.
• Perform routine cleaning tasks such as mopping floors and disinfecting surfaces to ensure a hygienic bakery environment.
• Comply with all food safety standards and maintain a valid Food Handler Card or equivalent certification.
• Assist fellow team members as needed to ensure smooth bakery operations.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish, engaging with customers and coworkers.
• Basic literacy skills needed to interpret product labels, shelf tags, and simple instructions.
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, and kneeling.
• Previous customer service experience is preferred but not required.
• Basic computer knowledge, including familiarity with Outlook, is a plus.
• A Retail Management Certificate is helpful but not required.
• A valid Food Handler Card or similar certification is required.
