Job Title

Respiratory Therapist – Adult Critical Care (RRT / CRT)

Location

Charleston, SC

Provide respiratory therapy services to adult critical care patients across cardiovascular and medical-surgical ICUs, step-down, and general acute care floors
Care for complex patient populations including postoperative cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgery patients, heart and lung transplant recipients, and LVAD patients
Manage patients requiring advanced mechanical circulatory support including ECMO, IABP, and Impella devices
Treat patients with conditions such as ARDS, septic shock, pulmonary hypertension, decompensated heart failure, and acute myocardial infarction
Utilize Epic electronic health records system for documentation and charting
Float as needed to the main hospital adult population, which shares the same policies, equipment, and charting requirements

Required Qualifications

NBRC RRT certification required (CRT will be considered)
Active South Carolina Respiratory Care Provider (SC RCP) license must be in hand at time of start
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum of 2 years of adult critical care experience as a Respiratory Therapist
No first-time travelers accepted for this role

Experience with ECMO, IABP, Impella, or other mechanical circulatory support devices
Familiarity with Epic electronic health records system
Experience in a Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma, or teaching hospital environment
