Fuel Your Curiosity in the Lab: Join a Dynamic Diagnostic Team in a Quaint Riverfront City Overview We are on the lookout for a Clinical Laboratory Technician who pairs inquisitiveness with accuracy-someone who is committed to enhancing patient care, one test at a time. This full-time, first-shift position at a thriving community hospital in the charming area by the river will see you playing a crucial role in delivering impactful diagnostic insights. Collaborate with passionate colleagues, all while benefiting from a comprehensive rewards package designed to nurture your career and personal well-being. Description - Your Responsibilities - Conduct routine and complex clinical lab tests-including chemistry, hematology, immunology, and more-adhering to established procedures. - Evaluate results for precision, troubleshoot discrepancies, and ensure lab equipment is well-maintained and calibrated. - Support specimen collection and prepare samples for analysis as necessary. - Document all laboratory processes meticulously, mentor new hires or students, and contribute to maintaining high lab standards. - Ensure a clean and safe workspace, complying with all regulatory and accreditation guidelines. Education - Bachelor's in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or an equivalent allied health degree; ASCP/AMT certification preparation is also acceptable. Certifications - ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) must be achieved within the first year of employment. - Continue to hold current certification throughout your time with us. Skills - Strong communication abilities and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork within healthcare settings. - Ability to exercise independent judgment and problem-solve in both fast-paced and high-stress scenarios. - Exemplary organizational capabilities and a keen eye for detail, especially in documentation and quality control. Benefits - Competitive compensation based on experience and qualifications. - A comprehensive array of market-competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance. - Generous paid time off accruing from day one, along with vacation and holiday allowances that acknowledge previous experience. - Opportunities for continuing education and support for professional development. - An extensive total rewards program focusing on your holistic wellness. Making a Difference through Numbers In this role, your meticulous work is pivotal to the decisions that doctors must make-and to the lives of patients. One sample could confirm an infection and influence antibiotic care, while another may reveal a metabolic condition before they even manifest symptoms. Your expertise ensures the precision that healthcare professionals and patients depend on daily. A Culture Built on Teamwork Your position is part of a larger community. You will be surrounded by a team that prioritizes continuous learning. Regular lab meetings, skills refreshers, and initiatives aimed at refining workflows cultivate a culture where everyone's voice counts. You'll have the chance to be involved in committees, suggest process advancements, and play a role in welcoming new talents. A Community That Embraces Nature Imagine a picturesque riverside city with gorgeous green parks, vibrant farmer's markets, and a diverse lineup of cultural festivals. Local cafes serve more than just coffee-they're thriving community spaces where hearty discussions range from local happenings to the arts. Your days off could be filled with kayaking on the river or one-of-a-kind outdoor events under the sunlight filtering through the trees. The residents here are down-to-earth and friendly, creating a nurturing healthcare atmosphere. With an abundance of unique shops, scenic trails, and performing arts all around, each day offers a new opportunity for adventure. Commuting is smooth, allowing for a more enriched lifestyle compared to big-city living. Housing is affordable, meaning your salary can help you enjoy local wineries, weekend getaways, and sports events-all at your fingertips. Creating Change, Inspiring Excellence In this community, lab technicians are not just workers behind a microscope-they are vital to public health. Your contributions create a ripple effect: quicker assessments, safer treatment options, happier patients, and sustainable practices. Every cheerful "thank you" reflects not just your technical precision but deeper appreciation for your role in the world of healthcare. Your Next Adventure Awaits If you're in search of more than just a paycheck-if your passion is rooted in service, growth, and community involvement-this could be the role for you. Whether you are a recent graduate or come with years of expertise, you will find an environment that fosters challenge and opportunity. Are You
