Role and Responsibilities:
As an Early Preschool Teacher, you will create a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children who are beginning their school journey. You will implement the Balanced Learning® curriculum, support developmental milestones, and foster children’s curiosity, independence, and confidence.
- Supervise and manage a classroom of early preschool-aged children, ensuring safety and well-being.
- Implement daily lesson plans and schedules in accordance with the Balanced Learning® curriculum.
- Support social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of each child.
- Observe and document children’s progress and communicate effectively with families.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and engaging classroom environment.
- Collaborate with co-teachers and leadership to plan activities and assessments.
- Provide positive reinforcement and consistent guidance for behavior.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events.
- Assist with other duties as assigned by the Director or leadership team.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Knowledge of early childhood development, especially for children aged 2–3 years.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. and safely handle children when necessary.
- Experience in early childhood education or teaching preferred.
- Ability to implement structured curriculum and manage classroom routines effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2-year degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certifications preferred.
- Previous experience as an early preschool or toddler teacher in a licensed program.
- Passion for nurturing children and fostering a positive learning environment.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
