Early Preschool Teacher

Role and Responsibilities:

As an Early Preschool Teacher, you will create a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children who are beginning their school journey. You will implement the Balanced Learning® curriculum, support developmental milestones, and foster children’s curiosity, independence, and confidence.

• Supervise and manage a classroom of early preschool-aged children, ensuring safety and well-being.
• Implement daily lesson plans and schedules in accordance with the Balanced Learning® curriculum.
• Support social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of each child.
• Observe and document children’s progress and communicate effectively with families.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and engaging classroom environment.
• Collaborate with co-teachers and leadership to plan activities and assessments.
• Provide positive reinforcement and consistent guidance for behavior.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events.
• Assist with other duties as assigned by the Director or leadership team.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Knowledge of early childhood development, especially for children aged 2–3 years.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. and safely handle children when necessary.
• Experience in early childhood education or teaching preferred.
• Ability to implement structured curriculum and manage classroom routines effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2-year degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certifications preferred.
• Previous experience as an early preschool or toddler teacher in a licensed program.
• Passion for nurturing children and fostering a positive learning environment.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
