About the Role
As a Mobile Industrial Equipment Technician, you will serve as a vital technical expert responsible for ensuring the operational readiness of heavy machinery at client sites. You will leverage your expertise in electrical and hydraulic systems to minimize downtime and maximize the productivity of critical material handling assets.
Responsibilities
- Execute complex repairs and routine maintenance on a variety of industrial machinery, including forklifts and heavy-duty material handling systems.
- Perform precise diagnostics on electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic circuits to restore equipment functionality efficiently.
- Conduct thorough safety inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure all hardware meets rigorous performance standards.
- Document service activities and work orders with high accuracy to maintain detailed equipment history.
- Foster positive, long-term professional relationships with onsite stakeholders through clear communication and reliable technical support.
- Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and schematic analysis to resolve technical challenges independently in the field.
Qualifications
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in the maintenance and repair of industrial or heavy equipment.
- Demonstrated proficiency in reading and interpreting complex electrical and hydraulic schematics.
- Strong aptitude for troubleshooting electrical systems and heavy machinery components.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record to operate service vehicles.
- Self-motivated mindset with the ability to manage daily service routes and tasks with minimal supervision.
Preferred Skills
- Prior experience specifically with forklift or warehouse material handling equipment.
- Formal training or certification in industrial electrical systems or diesel mechanics.
