Datadog's Finance team collaborates with teams across the organization, providing commercial, operational and analytical support to ensure that Datadog's business continues to scale rapidly and efficiently.

As a leader on the GTM FP A team, you will partner directly with GTM business leaders to support annual planning and forecasting. You will work cross-functionally to understand Datadog’s GTM motion and help drive efficient growth through strategic investment allocation. Together with your team, you will work to understand past performance, evaluate potential investments, and influence the company’s go-forward strategy. You will report to the Head of GTM FP A, and be a key leader to connect the business, strategy, and finance cohesively together.

What You’ll Do:

Be the finance business partner to GTM ecosystem teams (Marketing and Technical Solutions, to start), leading annual planning for headcount and operating expenses

Lead total GTM ecosystem projects and track/ manage GTM efficiency metrics, including CAC, CAC payback, and ratios of net new ARR to expenses

Meet regularly with the business leaders as a thought partner to help understand historical performance, identify opportunities for efficiency, and inform go-forward planning

Partner cross-functionally to develop recommendations on potential investments which may include Marketing program spend, Technical Solutions headcount, and Sales support ratios

Work as a part of the broader FP A team to understand the company’s financials, analytics, and help the organization to scale thoughtfully

Manage the career development of one or more employees while acting as a motivational leader on the FP A team

Other ad hoc projects and analytics to support the business

Who You Are:

7+ years of professional experience in GTM FP A, Strategy/Operations, investment banking, consulting or other relevant field

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or economics

Mastery of Excel and PowerPoint with proven experience in building financial models and managing complex data

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Skilled at building relationships cross-functionally

Bonus Points:

MBA or CFA is a plus but not required;

Solid understanding of Pigment is a plus, but not required

Experience in or understanding of a consumption-based software business model

Datadog offers a competitive salary and equity package, and may include variable compensation. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
