General Laborer - Paint Department

Pay rate-$25.00/hr.

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and motivated General Laborer to join our Paint Department in a mid-sized aerospace manufacturing facility. This position supports the preparation, handling, and finishing of aerospace components while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and committed to producing high-quality work in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Prepare aerospace components for painting by cleaning, masking, sanding, and hanging parts
  • Load and unload parts from paint lines, racks, and curing areas
  • Assist painters with material handling and department setup
  • Inspect parts for cleanliness and proper preparation prior to painting
  • Remove masking materials and perform basic post-paint cleanup
  • Package finished products according to company procedures
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas, equipment, and tools
  • Safely operate hand tools and material handling equipment
  • Follow all company safety policies, PPE requirements, and environmental regulations
  • Read and follow work instructions, production schedules, and quality standards
  • Assist with inventory, shop organization, and other general labor duties as assigned

Requirements

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Previous manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial experience preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of aerospace and manufacturing environments is preferred
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Reliable attendance and a positive team-oriented attitude

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Frequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive motions
  • Comfortable working around paint products, solvents, and manufacturing equipment while wearing required PPE, including respirators when necessary

Work Environment

This position is performed in an aerospace manufacturing facility. Employees are required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and comply with all OSHA, environmental, and company safety regulations. The work environment may include exposure to paint fumes, chemicals, noise, and varying temperatures.
