Job Title: Social Work Coach / Caregiver Support Coach

Location: Remote / Boston or nearby regional areas

Job Type: Part-time or contractor, with potential to grow

Preferred Credentials: MSW, LMSW, LCSW, or related social work / behavioral health background

About the Role

We are looking for a compassionate, responsive, and tech-comfortable Social Work Coach to support caregivers of people with complex mental health and medical needs.

This role is focused on caregiver coaching, emotional support, resource navigation, and helping families feel less alone. The coach will support caregivers by phone, text, and through our digital platform.

This is not a traditional therapy role. It is a practical support role for families who need help managing stress, care needs, and local resources.

Responsibilities

  • Provide supportive coaching to caregivers by phone, text, and/or digital platform
  • Respond quickly and reliably to caregiver messages
  • Help caregivers think through stressful situations in a calm, practical way
  • Connect families to local resources when appropriate, including insurance support, public benefits, home/community-based services, housing, transportation, food assistance, and other social services
  • Identify when a caregiver or patient may need escalation to clinical or crisis support
  • Document interactions clearly
  • Coordinate with the CareWise team on caregiver needs and follow-up
  • Help test and improve our digital caregiver support workflows
  • Use SMS, online tools, and evolving tech platforms comfortably

Ideal Candidate

  • Has an MSW, LMSW, LCSW, or relevant social work / behavioral health background
  • Has experience in mental health, caregiver support, case management, behavioral health, or community health
  • Knows local resources for families, including insurance, benefits, aides, housing, transportation, and other support services
  • Is warm, positive, practical, and nonjudgmental
  • Responds quickly and consistently
  • Is comfortable learning new technology
  • Enjoys working in a fast-moving environment where the process is still evolving
  • Can balance empathy with clear boundaries and appropriate escalation
  • Has familiarity with rural healthcare, Medicaid populations, serious mental illness, or family caregiving

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
