What You’ll Do Observe load hookup and determine the safety of the load.
Manipulate or depress crane control buttons to regulate the speed and direction of crane and hoist movement.
Use hoisting attachments such as hook, sling, or bucket as load requires.
Cleans and maintains a crane and hoisting mechanism.
Inspect crane for defective parts and notify supervisors of defects or malfunctions.
Qualifications High school diploma or GED
Warehouse or material‑handling experience preferred
Able to read, write, and communicate clearly
Basic math skills (fractions, decimals, percentages)
Able to follow instructions and solve routine problems
Education/Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Material handler I competency or 4 years related experience and training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
