A specialty pharmacy in the San Diego area is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join their team on a contract basis. This role focuses on supporting specialty medication management in a fast-paced environment, providing essential assistance to pharmacists by accurately filling prescriptions and processing medication authorizations.
Schedule/Hours:
- 8-hour day shifts, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
- Some weekend shifts required
Location:
- El Cajon, CA (San Diego area)
Responsibilities:
- Accurately fill specialty pharmacy prescriptions
- Process medication authorizations to ensure timely patient access
- Maintain compliance with pharmacy policies and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate closely with pharmacists and healthcare providers to support patient care
Qualifications / Desired Experience:
- Active California Pharmacy Technician license
- Experience working in a specialty pharmacy setting preferred
- Proficient in processing medication authorizations
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Local candidates preferred for ease of commuting
