Description Assess patients from pediatric to geriatric demographics using both standardized and observational analysis. Create tailored treatment plans that cater to both immediate needs and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives. Conduct individualized speech therapy sessions targeting communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing challenges. Partner with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to establish unified care strategies. Provide educational resources for patients and families to help reinforce progress between sessions. Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring a seamless continuum of care throughout the treatment process. Maintain precise and timely documentation in compliance with state, federal, and organizational standards. Engage in professional development and peer interactions to keep abreast of advancements in the field. Education Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist . Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first month of hire.
