Events & Community Operations Coordinator
Sunrise Center | Corte Madera, CA
Sunrise Center is seeking an organized, proactive, people-oriented team member to help
coordinate events, support presenters, engage our community, and assist with day-to-day
operations.
Responsibilities
Event Coordination
- Coordinate logistics for workshops, classes, speakers, concerts, and special events
- Communicate with presenters, facilitators, and guest speakers
- Manage event registration and attendee communications
- Assist with event setup and onsite operations
- Help ensure a positive experience for presenters and participants
- Support event follow-up and reporting
- Coordinate event details and communications with partner organizations, including Hale Akua
Garden Farm and related Maui programs when applicable
Community & Administrative Support
- Respond to participant inquiries by phone and email
- Maintain registration databases and participant records
- Track event attendance, registrations, and payments
- Coordinate registration, payment, and reporting processes with bookkeeping and administrative
support personnel
- Assist with scheduling and calendar management
- Prepare meeting notes and action items
- Help maintain organized digital files and systems
Marketing & Outreach Support
- Assist with email campaigns and newsletters
- Update website event listings
- Coordinate social media posts and event promotion
- Help increase attendance and community engagement
- Support outreach to presenters, partners, and community organizations
Qualifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and project management abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable learning new software and systems

Position Details
- Part-time (20–25 hours per week)
