Summary
Perform park and yard maintenance duties as well as certain construction and maintenance projects on County road right-of-ways.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintains equipment and material availability
- Maintains Poly Sub-Courthouse, Southwest Sub-Courthouse, Child Protective Services, Tarrant County Print Shop, and Alta Mesa Probation Center lawns
- Maintains Echo Lake Park and Babe Stephenson Park
- Maintains County road right-of-ways
- Maintains County easement
- Maintains County park perimeter cables/posts
- Maintains pavilion and playground equipment
- Paints pavilions and restrooms and replaces park benches
- Maintains ballparks
- Trims and plant trees along County right-of-ways
- Picks up discarded trash
- Maintains Precinct Compound grounds
- Operates small engine and lawn and turf equipment
- Performs all other related duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
Minimum of one (1) year related experience.
Class "C" driver's license required, Class "B" CDL license preferred.
Basic knowledge of equipment operation and maintenance.
Physical Demands and Work Environment & Other Requirements
While performing the duties of this position, the incumbent is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb, lift, push and pull. May be exposed to hazardous chemicals and extreme heat and cold.
