Senior Accountant — Supervisor Track
Miami / Doral, FL | $95K–$110K + Bonus + Benefits
A growing, global services and logistics organization in the Miami area is looking to add an experienced Senior Accountant to its accounting team.
This is a hands-on, high-visibility role for someone with strong month-end close experience, direct inventory accounting exposure, and the ability to support process improvement and reporting efficiency. The position will focus on inventory accounting, gross profit analysis, variance review, reconciliations, ERP systems, U.S. GAAP, operational accounting, and automation/process improvement initiatives.
This is a strong fit for a Senior Accountant who is already performing at a high level and has experience mentoring, coaching, or supporting junior accounting team members, with a clear path toward an Accounting Supervisor role.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Own key pieces of the month-end close process
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, GL roll-forwards, and variance analyses
- Support inventory accounting, valuation, reconciliations, reserves, and controls
- Analyze gross profit, margins, inventory movement, pricing, and operational variances
- Partner with internal operations, accounting, and finance teams
- Support U.S. GAAP application, documentation, internal controls, and audit needs
- Improve accounting processes, reporting workflows, ERP usage, and automation opportunities
- Coach, mentor, or support junior accounting team members as the role grows
What We’re Looking For
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience preferred
- Senior Accountant, Cost Accountant, Inventory Accountant, Senior Accounting Analyst, or Accounting Supervisor background
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
- CPA or progress toward CPA strongly preferred
- Direct inventory accounting experience required
- Month-end close, general ledger, reconciliations, and financial reporting experience
- Experience with inventory reconciliations, valuation, reserves, controls, or cost accounting
- Gross profit analysis, margin analysis, or variance analysis experience preferred
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and technical accounting principles
- ERP experience required; SAP strongly preferred
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, complex formulas, and data analysis
- Process improvement, automation, or system enhancement experience preferred
- Experience in a large, complex, high-volume, or multinational company preferred
- Prior experience coaching, mentoring, reviewing work, or supporting junior accounting staff preferred
