About the Role Our client, a prominent player in the automotive manufacturing sector, is seeking a diligent and experienced Quality Control Inspector to join their team in Salt Lake City, Utah . This crucial role ensures that all manufactured components and finished products adhere to stringent quality standards and specifications. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, a thorough understanding of quality control methodologies, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment. This is an on-site position, integral to maintaining the high-quality output of the facility. Key Responsibilities Perform detailed inspections of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products. Utilize various measurement tools and equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify product dimensions and specifications. Identify and document non-conforming products, initiating the necessary reporting procedures. Conduct functional tests and performance checks as per quality control plans. Maintain accurate and organized inspection records and documentation. Collaborate with production and engineering teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions. Ensure adherence to all relevant quality standards, including ISO/TS 16949 and internal company procedures. Participate in quality audits and continuous improvement efforts. Uphold safety standards in the performance of all duties. Contribute to a culture of quality and excellence on the production floor. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate's degree is a plus. Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Quality Control Inspector, preferably in the automotive manufacturing industry. Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments and understanding technical drawings. Strong knowledge of quality control principles and inspection techniques. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in recording data. Good communication and teamwork skills. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications. Familiarity with ISO/TS 16949 standards is advantageous. Must be able to work full-time on-site at our Salt Lake City, Utah facility. Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weight as needed.
