The Warehouse Receiving Associate is a role that operates within the GOVX Fulfillment Center (GXFC) located in La Vergne, TN.  This position is responsible for receiving and processing orders in a timely and accurate manner.  The associate will match shipping documents and use a handheld scanner to receive and process orders while inspecting the quality of the items to determine the correct process for each item. Inventory will also be scanned to designated pickable locations. This position will also be required to perform cycle counts on a predetermined cadence to maintain inventory accuracy. The associate will also perform inventory checks, maintain a clean and safe work environment, and report any issues to the supervisor.

This position’s work assignments and tasks can change daily based on the immediate needs of GXFC.

Position Type & Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position; typical work hours and days are Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with a 1-hour lunch.

Occasional weekday and weekend overtime may be required depending on work volume.

Responsibilities

Receive product correctly using proper documents and unload shipments according to GXFC specifications and quality standards.

Verify the accuracy, quality, and completeness of each shipment before receiving it in GXFC systems.

Learn and utilize warehouse equipment to stock inventory on shelves

Use a handheld scanner to accurately scan barcodes and track inventory.

Label and load packages in preparation for carrier pickup.

Follow safety rules and procedures and wear appropriate protective equipment.

Keep the warehouse organized and clean; report any damage or hazards to the supervisor.

Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Working Conditions

This job operates in a professional environment subject to state and local health ordinances. This role routinely uses warehouse equipment such as computers, scanners, pallet jacks, forklift and order picker.
