Job Summary:

Roles and Duties:

  • Guarantee the prompt delivery of merchandise by packing, loading, and shipping items to retail stores and guests.
  • Ensure correct processing of merchandise at all times to ensure prompt dispatch to our stores and shoppers.
  • Strive to carry out warehouse work quickly and safely, maintaining a productive flow of inventory.
  • Keeping your work area organized and clutter-free can help prevent accidents and increase workplace productivity.
  • Respect the importance of punctuality at work and complete tasks assigned with precision and promptness.
  • There are many different problem solving techniques and methodologies available, such as Six Sigma, Lean, and Kaizen. Companies may choose to adopt one or more of these approaches to support their continuous improvement efforts
  • Remains positive and polite when completing assignments alone or working alongside peers.

Requirements:

  • Able to bear the weight of items weighing between 35-50 pounds several times during a workday.
  • Has the ability to move and transport merchandise weighing up to 60 lbs. from time to time throughout their shift.
  • Implement a variety of movements, including standing, walking, pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, and reaching, during work shifts.
  • Foster a pleasant and respectful attitude while tackling individual assignments or collaborating with colleagues.
  • Possessing a sound understanding of rudimentary mathematical skills, including counting, addition, and subtraction.
  • Showing proficiency in reading and comprehending the product documentation, labels, and tickets.
  • Minimal direction is needed when using computer systems and handheld devices once one has received proper training.
  • Effective communication can aid in resolving misunderstandings, conflicts, and other issues that may arise in the workplace
  • Complying with safety guidelines, procedures, and instructions is imperative to ensure workplace safety, and this necessitates an adequate level of proficiency in reading, speaking, and comprehending English.

Additional Requirements:

  • Knowledgeable about the safe use of all powered equipment, such as Scissor Lift, Pallet Rider, Sit Down & Standup Forklift, and can work at heights of up to 40ft as required.
  • Carry out tasks on a mezzanine floor, which could be elevated as high as 40 ft, when appropriate
  • Skilled at handling tasks within temperature-controlled areas, such as refrigerators and freezers, for extended periods of time.
