As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will deliver treatment, provide exercise instruction, and educate patients with the goal of enhancing their well-being while adhering to the established care plan.
This position requires travel within Stevens and Pend Orielle counties, covering cities such as Chewelah, Deer Park, Newport, and Colville.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to state laws governing physical therapy in home care, implementing treatments as defined by the supervising Physical Therapist. Perform only procedures you are trained and qualified for, and communicate any adjustments needed in the care plan to the supervising PT.
- Instruct and support patients in exercises, muscle re-education, gait training, functional activities, ADL training, safety practices, and prosthetic use.
- Observe, document, and report patient responses to treatment and changes in their condition to the supervising PT, nurse supervisor, or physician. Collaborate with other healthcare team members as necessary.
- Educate patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare team members regarding therapy practices within the assistant's scope.

Required Qualifications:
- Current license, registration, or certification to assist in physical therapy practice in Washington.
- Valid CPR certification.
- Valid driver's license and vehicle insurance, or access to reliable transportation.
- Ability to function effectively in diverse home settings, irrespective of the client's demographic factors.
- Willingness to work a weekend rotation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Capability to perform the physical tasks needed for patient care, such as lifting, transferring, and providing mobility assistance.
Compensation is based on various factors including local labor markets, education, experience, and certifications. Apart from salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, incentive programs, equity stock purchase options, and 401k contributions (subject to eligibility criteria). Your hourly pay will range from $23.41 to $41.83 for full-time employment. We comply with all applicable minimum wage laws.
