Project Manager – Private Works – Livermore, CA

Project Manager – Private Works Requirements & Qualifications

6–10 years of construction experience

  • Experience as a project manager with a General Engineering Class A contractor
  • Proven track record on private work projects
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or construction management preferred
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
  • Valid driver’s license
  • First Aid and CPR certification, and Competent Person training required
  • Physical ability to work in active construction environments and lift up to 50 lbs as needed

Project Manager – Private Works Preferred Background & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree (BSCE or BSCM) strongly preferred
  • Experience leading complex, high-value infrastructure projects
  • Ability to travel to multiple job sites on short notice

Project Manager – Private Works Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Serve as on-site representative, fostering professional interactions with stakeholders
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate field engineering activities to achieve project goals
  • Review and prepare job files, plans, and condensed specification summaries
  • Lead pre-construction meetings and prepare essential project documentation
  • Manage project execution, including site logistics, procurement, and subcontractor coordination
  • Resolve day-to-day field issues and escalate concerns to management promptly
  • Support project closeout with punch lists, final walkthroughs, and documentation
  • Travel frequently between project sites and work safely in various outdoor and active construction settings
