Step into a dynamic nursing position in a renowned, high-acuity environment supporting complex MedSurg and Telemetry patients. This contract opportunity calls for experienced RNs to care for diverse patient populations, from trauma and surgical cases to renal, hepatic, and urological conditions, with a focus on teamwork, adaptability, and clinical excellence.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Weekend rotation required (every other weekend)
  • No on-call requirements for travelers
  • Expectation to work 75% of holidays
  • Up to 6 days approved time off (excluding holidays), with extensions if needed to meet contract hours

Qualifications:

  • Active RN license and at least 2 years of recent MedSurg/Telemetry RN experience
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
  • Competency with general Med/Tele skillset: stroke management, cardiac rhythm interpretation, trach and chest tube care, PIV starts, NGT placement, and a range of drain/tube management
  • Experienced in medication gtt management, including cardiac drips, heparin, blood products, and IV fluids
  • Experience with Epic EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell dispensing, and Phillips monitors
  • Flexible and willing to float within the assigned regional facilities as needed
  • First-time travelers considered, but previous travel experience is preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Provide patient-centered care to complex MedSurg/Tele populations including pre/post operative transplant and trauma patients
  • Manage patient ratios typically 1:4-6, with surge potential up to 1:7-8
  • Accurately interpret cardiac rhythms and respond to telemetry alarms (nurse-read monitors)
  • Initiate and monitor advanced therapies, IV medication infusions, and blood product administration
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teamsphlebotomy, respiratory therapy, hospitalists, and more
  • Participate in orientation and ongoing education
