Piedmont is a leading company in landscape construction, dedicated to showcasing nature at its best. We are seeking a dedicated Landscape Construction Crew Member to join our team. Under the guidance of a Construction Foreman, you will be involved in executing contracted enhancements and projects, including turf, irrigation, ground cover, shrubs, trees, retaining walls, patios, and plant beds. Responsibilities Follow Piedmont's methods, procedures, and techniques for landscape construction and repair.
Accurately record work hours and report any tardiness, absences, or vacation requests.
Adhere to safe work practices and procedures at all times.
Assist the Foreman in preparing materials and equipment, including loading and unloading trucks.
Participate in performance reviews and collaborate with management to plan career development.
Provide enhancement suggestions to the Foreman and Construction Manager.
Operate and maintain power equipment as approved by the Foreman, and report any items needing repair.
Report low or needed supplies to the Construction Manager.
Assist with DOT truck and trailer inspections and maintain cleanliness and safety of equipment.
Participate in special projects or after-hours emergency work as needed.
Perform related duties as required, ensuring attention to detail and quality.
Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
Qualifications High School Diploma/GED preferred.
2 years of experience in landscape construction, including equipment operation and safety.
Valid Driver's License.
Knowledge of landscape construction operations, services, and activities.
Familiarity with installing hardscape, sod, plant beds, and basic irrigation repairs.
Understanding of occupational hazards and standard safety practices.
Ability to analyze landscape problems and make recommendations for corrective work.
Effective communication skills and ability to establish working relationships with team members.
Detail-oriented, quality-driven, and able to meet management benchmarks.
Physical and Environmental Conditions Ability to work outdoors for extended periods, including bending, stooping, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds (up to 100 pounds with assistance).
Exposure to various environmental conditions, including noise, dust, dirt, and inclement weather.
