The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) plays a vital role in supporting patient care within a skilled nursing facility. Responsible for assisting patients with daily activities and monitoring vital signs, the CNA works directly under the supervision of a nurse. This position primarily serves 8 to 10 patients per shift and operates during the PM shift, emphasizing compassionate care and effective communication to ensure patient comfort and safety.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and support daily hygiene needs
- Monitor and record patients' vital signs accurately
- Assist with mobility and positioning to promote patient comfort
- Maintain clear and compassionate communication with patients and healthcare team
- Deliver empathetic and respectful care tailored to individual patient needs
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training program
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license
- Minimum of 1 year experience in nursing assistance
- Proficient in patient care and vital signs measurement
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Effective time management abilities
