Facilities Maintenance Technician (HVAC / Critical Systems)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable Facilities Tech to support our client. Responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing critical HVAC and refrigeration systems in a life sciences campus environment. Ensures reliable operation of building systems including chillers, cooling towers, VAV systems, and emergency mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain HVAC, chiller, and refrigeration systems
• Respond to alarms and perform system troubleshooting
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical systems
• Maintain CMMS records for all work orders and service activities
• Repair and install HVAC components, pumps, motors, and piping systems
• Support boiler, heat exchanger, and air handling system maintenance
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and OSHA regulations
• Participate in on-call rotation and emergency response support

Qualifications

• Active Massachusetts Refrigeration Technician License
• 3+ years HVAC/refrigeration experience
• EPA refrigerant handling certification preferred
• Strong troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude
• Experience with BAS and CMMS systems
• Ability to read blueprints and technical schematics
• Ability to work in confined spaces and on rooftops
• Valid driver’s license required
