GPS Machine Control /Heavy Equipment Operator

J.S. Paris Excavating, Inc. is hiring a GPS Operator with experience in GPS site calibration, utility layout and a list of skills/requirements listed below. Must be willing to travel.

GPS Managers will be responsible for general and specific safety practices, following company safety manual procedures, and cooperating with our safety representative in a positive pro-active manner. Position offers benefits including healthcare. If you meet the qualifications below please apply:

GPS Managers are responsible for various functions including, but not limited to:

• GPS site calibration and utility layout.
• Familiar with GCS900, SCS900, Earthworks, and Site Works.
• Basic computer skills including downloading files, file structures and correct file paths for each software listed above.
• Ability to generate basic quantities in field rover.
• Ability to read and understand drawings and check GPS equipment accuracy against plan set.
• Random site quality (elevation and position) checks.
• Basic mechanical skills.
• Able to troubleshoot problems with wiring or other GPS hardware to determine fault, and resolve issue.
• Trimble expierence preferred.

• Construction: 2 plus years (Preferred)

Education:

• High school or equivalent with additional schooling (AS or BS degree) or equivalent experience preferred; computer/site technology skills a plus

Pay: $25.00 - $37.00 per hour
