Job Description:

The Catering Helper supports the event operations team in executing successful catering orders and events. This role includes setting up events, transporting equipment, food, and other supplies, serving guests during the event, and cleaning up after the event has ended.

Job Responsibilities:

• Event Organization: Establish catering and event services according to the preferences outlined by customers and banquet event arrangements.
• Ensuring the safe transport and timely delivery of catering essentials, which comprise food, beverages, and equipment, to the event destinations.
• Event Space Organization: Arrange seating, tables, buffet lines, and additional event equipment as outlined in the banquet event itinerary.
• Replenish food and beverage supplies throughout the event.
• Ensure that food service zones are maintained in a tidy and appealing condition to meet cleanliness expectations.
• Ensure the cleanup of food and beverage deliveries after service and break down event spaces once the event concludes.
• Ensure that customer service provided to event guests is of the highest caliber.
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures to minimize risks and maintain a secure environment.

Qualifications:

• Previous Experience:
• Previous experience in customer service is a plus.
• Experience in catering is a plus.
• Independence entails the skill to function on one's own with little need for direction.
• Dress attire: It is necessary to follow the specified dress attire as directed.
• Willingness to work during events is essential, which may involve shifts on weekends and evenings.
• The candidate must possess the necessary certifications in Food Handling and Alcohol Service training.

Physical Demands:

Responsibilities that may be assigned in this position include:

• The execution of actions such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended standing or walking.
• Upholding the uniform guidelines and wearing the necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required.

Education:

• A preference is shown towards individuals with a high school diploma or an equivalent level of education.
