Commercial Electrician

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Electrician to join our growing team in the Rochester, NY area. The ideal candidate will have experience installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems in commercial and industrial environments. This position requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team while maintaining a strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair commercial electrical systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, and specifications.
• Install conduit (EMT, Rigid, PVC, and Flex), wire, cable, and electrical devices.
• Install and terminate electrical panels, switchgear, transformers, lighting, and control systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform repairs efficiently.
• Perform service upgrades and new construction electrical installations.
• Ensure all work complies with National Electrical Code (NEC) and local electrical codes.
• Follow OSHA safety standards and company safety procedures.
• Work from ladders, lifts, and scaffolding as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of commercial electrical experience preferred.
• Ability to bend and install conduit.
• Experience pulling wire and terminating electrical equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
• OSHA 10 certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various weather conditions.
