The Machinist is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining manual and CNC machinery to produce precision metal and plastic components. In this role, you will ensure that parts are manufactured to exact specifications, meets quality standards, and supports efficient production flow.

Plan and perform a normal range of machining activities including milling, turning drilling, tapping boring, facing, recessing, thread cutting, and similar machining operation on a variety of precision components made from ferrous and nonferrous metals and alloys.

Select proper tools, materials, and speeds/feeds to optimize machining process.

Measure and inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision instruments.

Work from drawings, route sheets, specifications, and instructions to determine operational sequence and tooling, and to select and set appropriate speeds and feeds based on material type and finish requirements.

Recommend and implement process improvements to increase equipment reliability, workflow optimization, efficiency and water reduction.

Ensure all parts meet dimensional and quality specifications.

Work closely with engineering, quality, and other production team members to ensure accurate documentation and resolve issues.

Basic computer and technology skills.

Collaborates effectively with team members, engineers, and supervisors through clear communication and strong interpersonal skills in a CNC machining setting.

Must possess basic personal hand tools required for the job.

Willingness to work overtime as needed.

High School Diploma or GED equivalent with 4+ years of related experience

Certificate or degree in Machine Tool Technology or related field with 2+ years of machinist experience
