Job Overview

Eye Surgery Center of Louisiana is seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Clinic Front Desk Supervisor to lead our front office team and ensure the smooth operation of our healthcare facility. This pivotal role involves overseeing patient check-in and check-out processes, managing administrative workflows, and supporting clinical staff to deliver exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a comprehensive understanding of medical office management, and experience with practice management and electronic health record (EHR) systems. Knowledge and experience with Nextech is a plus but not required. Your enthusiasm and proactive approach will help foster a welcoming environment for patients and staff alike.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily front desk operations, including patient scheduling, registration, and billing procedures
  • Ensure accurate patient check-in and check-out processes.
  • Manage patient inquiries and resolve any issues promptly.
  • Coordinate with clinical teams to ensure efficient patient flow and timely appointment management
  • Train and mentor front desk staff on best practices and procedures.
  • Monitor and manage appointment scheduling, cancellations, no-shows and recalls.
  • Oversee medical administrative support functions such as medical records, insurance verification, and data entry using Nextech Plus and Intellechart
  • Manage staff scheduling, training, performance evaluations, and conflict resolution with assistance from the administrator
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality and data security
  • Implement office policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and patient satisfaction

Requirements

  • Proven experience in medical office management or healthcare administration, preferably within a Retina or ophthalmic clinic
  • Supervising experience
  • Strong knowledge of EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems specifically Nextech
  • Familiarity with healthcare regulations including HIPAA and utilization management protocols
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working with diverse healthcare teams
  • Travel and oversee outreach clinics regularly to confirm they have a clear understanding of expectations set forth and confirm all offices are consistent. (within a 30-60 mile radius depending on where you live)
