Pacific Medical Laboratory is currently expanding its mobile phlebotomy fleet and hiring for a Certified Phlebotomy Technician specializing in Mobile Phlebotomy services across Orange County. In this vital role, you'll provide expert blood specimen collection directly at patients' homes, clinics, and healthcare facilities, ensuring accurate and timely laboratory testing. Duties

  • Perform venipuncture and capillary blood sampling with precision and care, adhering to aseptic techniques and safety protocols
  • Collect, label, process, and transport specimens accurately to ensure laboratory integrity and timely analysis
  • Provide excellent patient service by explaining procedures clearly, addressing concerns, and ensuring comfort during specimen collection
  • Maintain detailed documentation of all procedures, including patient information, specimen details, and collection times
  • Follow all laboratory procedures and techniques to uphold quality standards in specimen handling and processing
  • Assist with vital signs measurement and basic patient assessments as needed to support overall patient care
  • Lift heavy equipment or supplies safely while maintaining proper body mechanics to prevent injury

Requirements

  • Valid State of California License as a Phlebotomy Technician (CPT1)
  • Proven experience in laboratory procedures, venipuncture, blood sampling, and specimen processing within a clinical or hospital setting
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and laboratory techniques necessary for accurate specimen collection
  • Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to diverse patient populations
  • Knowledge of aseptic techniques to prevent contamination or infection during specimen collection

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
