Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Dental Assistant/Receptionist to join our vibrant dental team! Duties

  • Welcome patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with check-in and check-out procedures
  • Schedule appointments efficiently using dental practice management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix
  • Verify insurance coverage, process claims, and handle billing using systems like Epic, Meditech, or Athenahealth
  • Assist dentist during procedures.
  • Manage multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette, answer inquiries, and direct calls appropriately
  • Perform administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and maintaining organized medical/dental records

Skills

  • Proven experience in dental office settings or clinics with strong knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
  • Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or eClinicalWorks
  • Proficiency in medical coding including CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9/10 (International Classification of Diseases), and medical billing practices
  • Ability to verify insurance benefits, process claims accurately, and manage Medicare or other third-party payers
  • Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and effective communication abilities in bilingual settings preferred
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, typing (10 key), and familiarity with health information management software
  • Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards to ensure patient confidentiality at all times
  • Experience with front desk operations such as appointment scheduling, intake procedures, and office management tasks
