Equipment Maintenance Technician (Contract / On-Call)

StoneHedge Services is looking for a dependable, mechanically inclined individual to help keep our landscaping equipment and small fleet operating at its best.

This is not a full-time position. Instead, we're looking for someone who enjoys diagnosing problems, performing preventative maintenance, and helping keep equipment ready for work. Most work will be scheduled in advance, with occasional emergency repairs during the landscaping season.

What You'll Work On

• Zero-turn mower maintenance and repairs
• String trimmers, blowers, hedge trimmers, and other small engine equipment
• Trailer inspections, lights, wiring, wheel bearings, and general maintenance
• Preventative maintenance (oil changes, blade replacement, grease points, belts, filters, tire pressure, etc.)
• Diagnosing equipment issues before parts are replaced
• Occasional repairs to trucks, trailers, or shop equipment when applicable

We're Looking For Someone Who

• Has mechanical experience with small engines, landscaping equipment, automotive, fabrication, or similar fields
• Enjoys troubleshooting and diagnosing problems
• Takes pride in doing repairs correctly rather than simply replacing parts
• Can work independently with minimal supervision
• Has reliable transportation
• Is dependable, communicates well, and shows up when scheduled

Schedule

This is a flexible, contract position.

Most work will consist of scheduled preventative maintenance (typically around one maintenance day per month), along with occasional on-call repairs when equipment needs attention.

As StoneHedge Services continues to grow, there may be opportunities for additional work.
