Staff Accountant

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support core accounting operations for a contract to hire position based in Kissimmee, Florida. This role will contribute to accurate financial reporting, daily transaction processing, and tax-related activities while working across key accounting functions. The ideal candidate brings strong accounting knowledge and can manage both routine tasks and deadline-driven priorities with accuracy and professionalism.Responsibilities:• Prepare and record journal entries to maintain accurate and timely financial data.• Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies to support reliable month-end reporting.• Process accounts payable transactions, verify supporting documentation, and help ensure timely vendor payments.• Oversee accounts receivable activity by monitoring incoming payments and following up on outstanding balances.• Assist with corporate tax filings and support the preparation of related schedules and documentation.• Manage sales tax reporting requirements and help ensure compliance with applicable regulations.• Support the preparation of financial records and reports needed for internal review and external requirements.• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve accounting issues and improve the accuracy of financial information.
