Overview
We’re hiring a skilled CNC Machinist to join a highly reputable manufacturing facility with deep roots in the machining world. In this high-skill role, you will play a vital role in producing precision components that supply machine shops all over the globe. You will take complete ownership of your production process end-to-end, independently setting up, editing, and operating Vertical and Horizontal CNC Mills and Lathes to perform close-tolerance machining.
You will own the entire lifecycle of your parts—from studying complex blueprints and fabricating your own tooling to conducting First Article Inspections and preparing machines for lights-out manufacturing.

Responsibilities
End-to-End Ownership: Run and operate Vertical and Horizontal CNC Mills and Lathes, owning the process from initial setup to final inspection.
Technical Setup: Perform full, independent machine setups. Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, and materials.
Tool Fabrication: Fabricate your own custom tooling and fixtures from time to time to meet unique production and tolerance demands.
Process Adaptation: Actively monitor machine operations and adapt to the parts being produced. Adjust programs, tool offsets, and work offsets as required to ensure perfect tolerances, rather than just blindly running parts.
Sustain Operations: Plan and set up machines for unattended operations, ensuring tooling, programs, materials, and safety measures are dialed in for continuous machining.
Precision Inspection: Conduct First Article Inspections and check your own parts throughout the run to ensure conformance to tight specifications using precision measuring instruments.
Continuous Improvement: Troubleshoot machine malfunctions, safeguard and back up existing programs, generate process documents, and provide training to other machinists as needed.
