Who were looking for:

M&S Machining is seeking candidates who have experience programming CNC machining centers. M&S currently uses SurfCAM and FeatureCAM for most of its programming needs. For experienced candidates, M&S is open to the purchase of your preferred software including Mastercam! A candidate will be expected to program multiple new and different parts during a given week using strategic processes that incorporate a strong application of mathematics and engineering.

What you’ll be doing:

• CAM Programming multiple different geometrically complex parts for various machining centers.
• Analyzing engineering blueprints, solid models, and/or sketches to determine the type and sequence of machine operation.
• Working with machinists to set production expectations and further develop efficient tool paths at a high level.
• Working closely with the CMM inspection lab; have an in-depth knowledge of metrology and GD&T.
• Ensure in tolerance parts are being produced on and off a machining centers and modify programs as needed to prevent quality issues and production delays.

Favorable if you have:

• Experience using SurfCAM, FeatureCAM, PowerMill, and/or Solidworks.
• Experience working in a low volume, high mix manufacturing facility.
• Experience in the defense and aerospace manufacturing industry.
• Experience in other CAM software including Mastercam, Siemens NX, Fusion 360, EdgeCAM, etc..
