Location: This position is located in COLORADO SPRINGS, CO at CDOC Headquarters**. This posting may be use to fill future vacancies at this location.

**This position is eligible for a hybrid workplace which is partly remote (work from home or travel to other facilities) and partly in office at the CDOC HEADQUARTERS IN COLORADO SPRINGS, CO.

Sex Offender Treatment Provider:

This position provides intensive sex offender treatment within the CDOC's Sex Offender Treatment & Monitoring Program (SOTMP) including development, implementation and modification of individual treatment plans.

  • Must be BILINGUAL and provide groups specific to Spanish speaking individuals.
  • SOTMP complies with the Colorado Sex Offender Management Board (SOMB) standards and guidelines.
  • Conduct and prepare psycho-sexual evaluation for use by community corrections, Parole Board and treatment providers in the community.
  • Prepare parole board assessment to assist the parole board in making release decisions. Participate in support education meetings on a periodic basis.
  • This position will also participate in the Standardized training workshop for Correctional system regarding the Dynamics of Sex Offenders.
  • Provide crisis intervention and consultation to correctional staff concerning high risk behaviors of sex offenders in the institution.
  • Review records and interview inmates to assess sexual violence level, treatment needs, and treatment amenability.
  • Develop individual treatment plans and goals.
  • Regular review and modification of treatment plans to reflect individual progress or lack of for inmates in the treatment program.
  • Provide intensive treatment to sex offenders by conducting group therapy based on Risk Need Receptivity (RNR) and supplemental individual therapy, status reviews, homework assignment reviews and feedback, and evaluations.
  • Provide services listed above in Spanish when appropriate.
  • Attend and assist in translating parole board hearings of Spanish speaking clients within the program following SOTMP therapist manuals and protocols.
  • Travel to other facilities as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Applicant must possess one or more of the following current, and valid licenses from the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies:

  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (CSW) or
  • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or
  • Licensed Psychologist or
  • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT)

AND• Applicant must have one (1) year of licensed or license candidacy experience, with current valid licensure from the State of Colorado, to include Licensed Social Worker (LSW), Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker Candidate (SWC) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Candidate, and experience must be with the mental health and/or sex offender population.

Special Qualifications:• Must be bilingual and able to deliver and translate therapeutic services in Spanish.

  • Clinicians providing sex offender treatment are required to apply with the SOMB within 30 days of hire.
