Buyer

El Regio Distribution Center is seeking an experienced Buyer in our Grand Prairie, TX corporate offices. The Buyer will evaluate bids and pricing to maintain a competitive advantage within the company’s marketplace while focusing on negotiating the best price from suppliers, vendors, and service providers.

Responsibilities:

Purchases materials supplies and any additional services by negotiating the best price.

Qualifies vendors, examine quotes or bids, and negotiates price and terms for purchase of goods or services.

Performs data entry of all purchase orders.

Sends, tracks, and monitors all purchase orders to vendors or customers for quality and maintains a current database of all vendor information.

Assist other departments when required.

Reviews requisitions.

Confers with vendors to obtain product or service information such as price, availability, and delivery schedule.

Prepares purchase orders or bid requests.

Receives and contacts vendors to find out status of orders.

Contacts vendors with discrepancies with quantity and quality.

Interfaces with all departments and resolves problems and issues as necessary.

Reviews bid proposals and negotiates contracts within budgetary limitations and scope of authority.

Develop spreadsheets or tables in Excel.
