CDL A Ice Delivery Driver

Here is a run down of how the job works.

Start time is 730 am and your done when all stops are complete.

You will get a route with between of 9-15 stops that needs to be completed in full. You take between 12 pallets depending on your route with 306 7lb bags of ice on each pallet and/or 16lb with 120 bags.

At each stop you will be required to remove the pallet off the truck via liftgate using your electric pallet jack and fill up all the boxes at the location.

If its a supermarket like Wal-Mart you will use the dock and put the entire pallet of ice in there freezer.

The pay is Bi-Weekly & Commission Based. Your paid .10¢ for each bag of ice.

Example:

306x.10=33.66

$30.60x12= $367.20

That is how your pay each day is calculated. There will be opportunity for reloading and If you reload for more ice and sell more then that number goes up.

All checks are paid in full, which mean there are no tax deductions.

Duties

• Safely operate box trucks and other commercial vehicles with manual transmission to deliver ice products along assigned routes.
• Load and unload ice supplies using heavy lifting techniques, forklifts, or pallet jacks, ensuring proper handling and secure transportation.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and delivery records for each trip.
• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting clients professionally, answering questions, and addressing any delivery concerns promptly.
• Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies to ensure safe driving practices at all times.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety issues before departure.
• Collaborate with warehouse staff for inventory management and timely loading of deliveries.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a delivery driver, courier, or similar role involving route driving and heavy lifting.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating box trucks or similar commercial vehicles preferred.
• Ability to handle physical tasks such as lifting heavy loads and moving items safely using forklifts or pallet jacks.
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor.
• Knowledge of warehouse procedures and safety standards related to loading/unloading cargo.
• Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles and route navigation tools.

Pay: $240.00 - $350.00 per day
