Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Electrical Maintenance Technician to support medium- and high-voltage power distribution systems within a large, critical manufacturing environment in North Texas.

This is a hands-on maintenance and troubleshooting role focused on keeping electrical equipment operating safely and reliably. The ideal candidate has experience maintaining, testing, diagnosing, and troubleshooting equipment such as switchgear, circuit breakers, transformers, relays, substations, and related power distribution systems.

Candidates may come from industrial manufacturing, utilities, power generation, data centers, semiconductor facilities, refineries, chemical plants, or other critical operating environments. Substation experience is welcome, but the strongest fit will have experience maintaining and troubleshooting existing electrical equipment rather than only construction or installation.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on medium- and high-voltage electrical equipment and power distribution systems.
  • Inspect, test, troubleshoot, and support switchgear, circuit breakers, transformers, relays, substations, control circuits, and related equipment.
  • Diagnose electrical failures, abnormal equipment behavior, breaker operations, and trip conditions.
  • Support electrical testing, equipment outages, switching activities, system restoration, and root-cause investigations.
  • Read and interpret electrical one-lines, schematics, wiring diagrams, prints, and technical documentation.
  • Coordinate maintenance and repair activities with technicians, engineers, contractors, and facility personnel.
  • Document maintenance, testing results, equipment conditions, and identified reliability concerns.
  • Follow established electrical safety procedures when working around energized and high-energy electrical systems.

What We’re Looking For

  • Hands-on experience in industrial electrical maintenance, power distribution, medium voltage, high voltage, or a closely related field.
  • Experience maintaining and troubleshooting existing electrical equipment in an operating facility.
  • Working knowledge of switchgear, breakers, transformers, relays, substations, motor control equipment, or industrial power distribution systems.
  • Experience with preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, electrical testing, diagnostics, or equipment restoration.
  • Ability to read electrical one-lines, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
  • Strong commitment to electrical safety, communication, and teamwork in a critical operating environment.

Preferred Experience

  • Medium- or high-voltage electrical maintenance experience.
  • Electrical testing experience such as insulation resistance/megger testing, hi-pot testing, relay testing, breaker testing, or related diagnostics.
  • Experience troubleshooting control circuits, breaker trip/open conditions, or electrical system abnormalities.
  • Background in semiconductor, industrial manufacturing, utility, power generation, data center, refinery, chemical, petrochemical, or other mission-critical environments.
  • NETA-related experience, NFPA 70E training, or OSHA electrical safety training is a plus.

Why Consider This Opportunity?

  • Work at a consistent North Texas site with limited extended travel.
  • Support critical electrical infrastructure in a highly technical manufacturing environment.
  • Gain exposure to complex medium- and high-voltage power distribution systems.
  • Work alongside experienced technicians, engineers, and electrical specialists.
  • Build long-term experience in electrical maintenance, reliability, troubleshooting, and critical facility operations.
