The Personal Lines Account Manager is responsible for both the service and sales of personal lines accounts in a storefront office environment in Springfield, OR. This role ensures customer satisfaction and client retention by delivering timely, consistent, and quality service to Personal Lines clients, while also actively marketing and selling new personal lines policies to grow the book of business. This position requires strong client-facing skills, an in-person presence, and the ability to balance day-to-day account servicing with proactive sales activity — all in alignment with BroadStreet’s core values.

Areas of Work and Responsibilities

In-Office Wor

  • kOversee the handling of all incoming and outgoing mail for the office
  • .Process customer payments received and ensure timely deposits at the bank
  • .Maintain an appropriate rotation of helping walk-in clients to ensure smooth traffic flow within the office
  • .Assist clients by referring them to appropriate departments within LaPorte to assist with needs outside of your department
  • .Provide support to other office locations as necessary to ensure consistent operations
  • .Work collaboratively and in person with colleagues to support office objectives and client service

.Personal Lines Policy Managemen

  • tPrepare applications, obtain clients’ signatures, and submit to carriers
  • .Complete additional underwriting requests as needed, collect payment, and verify accuracy of issued policies
  • .Respond to client needs by producing binders, certificates, policies, and other related items
  • .Renew existing policies by agency standards
  • .Handle cancellations with care, retaining all accounts possible with adherence to E&O guideline

.Client Service and Suppor

  • tBuild and maintain positive relationships with clients
  • .Provide consistent, accurate, and timely communication to clients through verbal and written correspondence
  • .Inform and educate clients about coverage, exclusions, and exposures; document electronic files accordingly
  • .Respond to emails and return phone calls the same day
  • .Conduct face-to-face meetings with clients as necessary

.Sales and Marketin

  • gMarket, quote, and sell new personal lines policies to prospects and existing clients
  • .Identify cross-sell and account rounding opportunities within the existing book of business
  • .Actively pursue new client relationships through walk-in traffic, referrals, and community engagement
  • .Utilize and leverage third-party vendors and AI tools (such as Resource Pro, Ask Broadstreet, and others) to enhance efficiency in data processing, proposal preparation, renewal comparisons, and various tasks that contribute to supporting the overall job function

.Communication and Collaboratio

  • nMaintain positive relationships and work effectively with internal colleagues, insurance carriers, underwriters, and marketing representatives to ensure smooth operations and client satisfaction
  • .Provide technical support to producers (coverage-wise, with proposals, suspense items, etc.) to help clients
  • .Follow up in a timely and professional manner with all clients, carriers, and peers
  • .Process daily incoming mail and respond accordingly and in a timely fashion
  • .Inform management of procedural, operating system, and communication issues within the department in a timely manner

.Administrative Tas

  • kMaintain client files in Epic and use Epic for processing all transactions
  • .Use the agency management system to maintain client files, record quotes and policies, process policy transactions, schedule follow-ups, and record claims
  • .Maintain client files accurately and consistently documenting conversations, sending confirmations to clients, and adhering to all other automation procedures
  • .Follow all policies and procedures
  • .Other duties as assigned relevant to the position

.Carrier and Industry Knowledg

  • eKnow the underwriting and rating procedures for all types of personal lines policies
  • .Know the binding authority of each carrier
  • .Stay up to date on insurance products, legislative changes, and industry trends through ongoing education and training
  • .Maintain certifications
  • .Timely completion of continuing education for insurance licensing renewals
