YOU MUST HAVE RECENT TEACHING EXPERIENCE IN A K-12 SETTING

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Mathematics Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fostering a positive learning environment that encourages students to develop their mathematical skills and critical thinking abilities. This role involves creating engaging lesson plans, assessing student progress, and implementing effective teaching strategies tailored to meet diverse learning needs.

Duties

  • Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and cater to various learning styles.
  • Teach mathematical concepts ranging from basic arithmetic to advanced topics, ensuring clarity and understanding among students.
  • Utilize learning technology and resources to enhance the educational experience and facilitate student engagement.
  • Conduct assessments, including standardized testing, to evaluate student performance and provide feedback for improvement.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student progress, challenges, and achievements.
  • Provide early intervention strategies for students who may be struggling with mathematical concepts.
  • Incorporate elements of Montessori education where appropriate to promote independent learning.
  • Offer tutoring sessions for students needing additional support outside of regular class hours.
  • Collaborate with library services to integrate literacy education into the mathematics curriculum.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a Georgia Professional Standards Commission approved accredited college or university in the relevant educational field Required.
  • Valid Professional Standards Commission approved teaching certificate in the appropriate educational field preferred. (CERTIFIED INDIVDUALS WILL HAVE PRIORITY )

Experience

Candidates should possess a strong background in mathematics education, with experience in teaching at the appropriate grade level. Familiarity with early intervention techniques and a commitment to continuous professional development are highly valued. Experience in utilizing learning technology in the classroom is also beneficial. A passion for mathematics and a desire to inspire students are essential qualities for success in this role.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $50,052.00 - $60,278.00 per year
