Position Overview
As a Welder on the Lowe Boats team, you will lay out, fit, and weld fabricated, cast, and forged components to assemble aluminum boats and sub‑assemblies.
Essential Functions
Select equipment and plan layout, assembly, and welding. Lay out, position, align, and fit components together.
Bolts, clamps, and tack‑welds parts to secure them in position for welding. Set up equipment and weld parts using gas‑shielded arc or gas welding equipment.
Other duties may be assigned.
Responsible for following quality systems procedures.
Required Qualifications
Self‑starter, team player with a good safety awareness.
Requires standing, bending and twisting for a 10‑hour shift.
Preferred Qualifications
High School diploma or GED preferred.
Previous experience in welding or weld training preferred.
Working Conditions
May be required to work in a non‑air‑conditioned area.
Regularly required to work at heights on platforms, lifting parts and pieces up to 50 lbs.
Exposed to noise, dust, fumes and odors daily.
PPE required: hearing protection, vision protection, safety toe shoes, safety gloves.
Compensation
The anticipated pay range for this position is $20.30-21.50 per hour. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including knowledge, skills, relevant experience, business needs and geographic location. In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a 2% annual productivity bonus.
