Performance Quality Technician

As a Performance Quality Technician at Carbon Robotics, you will be responsible for identifying, diagnosing, and resolving systemic issues across our dataset of high-resolution imagery. You'll address performance issues and conduct field experiments and data analysis to diagnose root causes. Working directly with farmers is a key part of this role, you'll build relationships with growers, listen to their feedback, conduct field studies, and translate what you learn into systemic improvements, serving as a bridge between our customers and our engineering teams. You'll also respond to high-priority field issues; when customers hit critical problems, you'll move quickly to investigate, diagnose root causes, and coordinate with support, Deep Learning, engineering, and field teams to drive fast, effective resolutions that keep our customers running.

What You’ll Do:

Gain deep understanding of how the system works, and what can cause it to not work optimally

Audit data to ensure clean and appropriate datasets

Work closely with support to help investigate issues and determine what is needed to ensure data integrity

Validate solutions, document results and document customer feedback

Translate field tests and model issues, and analyze customer feedback

Prepare cases for field personnel to review labels/predictions

Uncover performance related issues and work with engineers on solutions

Conduct field experiments to help improve performance

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities for Success:

Education or professional experience in Agronomy or Farming

Strong understanding of agricultural industry practices, operations and culture.

Data annotation experience

Highly motivated, independent thinker with great problem solving skills

Highly organized with excellent time management to juggle multiple priorities at the same time

Collaboration skills to work with customers and internal teams simultaneously

High level of attention to detail the ability to think strategically

Detail-oriented, with proven ability to deliver accurate reporting

Intermediate to advanced Google Suite and Confluence skills desired

Ability to identify and address high risk situations make safe independent decisions based on process

Traveling to farms required - 25-50%
