Forklift Operator / Warehouse

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts and heavy equipment to facilitate the efficient movement of materials within our distribution center. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks to load and unload materials safely.
• Execute order picking tasks using RF scanners and ensure accurate inventory management.
• Perform shipping and receiving duties, including verifying incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to OSHA safety standards.
• Assist with heavy lifting and materials handling as required by warehouse operations.
• Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and improve efficiency.
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment and report any mechanical issues promptly.
• Support other warehouse functions as needed, including construction projects or special assignments.

Skills

• Proven experience in warehouse distribution and operations.
• Familiarity with order picking processes and warehouse management systems.
• Strong mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation.
• Ability to operate cranes, forklifts, and other heavy machinery safely.
• Experience with shipping & receiving procedures is highly desirable.
• Capability to perform heavy lifting tasks consistently throughout the shift.
• Knowledge of safety regulations, particularly OSHA standards, is essential.
