About the role
Maven's enterprise business runs on client trust. This role sits at the intersection of client needs and core product: working closely with Client Services and Growth to understand what clients need, identify when custom work is warranted, and own the build from decision through delivery.
You are the connective tissue between Maven's market-facing teams and core product. You spend meaningful time on client calls, embedded with client-facing teams, and in RFP processes where product depth matters. You also manage one or more PMs.
The right person is deeply fluent in benefits and eligibility systems, comfortable with external stakeholders, and knows how to build a principled framework for what gets built, when, and by whom.
What You’ll Do:
Custom product work in partnership with Client Services and Growth: understanding commercial priorities, building a clear framework for what to evaluate, prioritize, and build alongside core product and engineering
A triage and prioritization framework for client requests: evaluate against platform leverage, sequence against the core roadmap, route to the right owner, and communicate decisions back to Client Services and Growth with clarity
Forward-deployed product work: meaningful time embedded with client-facing teams, on client calls, and in RFP processes where product depth matters
Support one or more PMs: your job is to set them up for success, invest in their development, and help them do the best work of their career
What You’ll Bring:
7+ years in product with meaningful time in health benefits, payer systems, or a complex B2B2C environment: eligibility and enrollment fluency is important for this role
Experience in a forward-deployed or client-embedded product capacity: comfortable owning the product relationship with external stakeholders, not just internal ones
Experience navigating custom client work in a scaled product org: you know how to evaluate requests against platform leverage, say no when it matters, and find the path that serves both the client and the core product
Experience managing or mentoring PMs: you develop product talent, not just do the work yourself
Deep understanding of how benefits data flows from employer configuration through eligibility verification through member activation, and where it breaks
Strong data skills: funnel instrumentation, activation analysis, communicating outcomes to client success, growth, and executive stakeholders
Hands-on fluency with AI tools as part of how you work today
High ownership: you operate like a founder, push through ambiguity, and do not wait for direction
Member empathy that holds even when client pressure is loud and urgent
The base salary range for this role is 217,000 - 255,000 per year. You will also be entitled to receive equity and benefits. Individual pay decisions are based on qualifications, experience, and skillset.
