RECONCRAFT is the leading manufacturer of purpose-built vessels for military, government, and other professional organizations. The Safety Compliance Specialist is responsible for the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of all RECONCRAFT facilities. This role oversees the creation and execution of a comprehensive safety program to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and company policies in an ISO 9001 compliant manufacturing environment.

Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local regulations
Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments throughout the facility and production floor
Lead safety training, toolbox talks, and new employee safety orientations
Work with team members at all levels to identify and remediate safety concerns
Investigate incidents, near-misses, and safety concerns, ensuring corrective actions are implemented and tracked
Coordinate hazardous materials handling, storage, and disposal processes in compliance with environmental regulations
Manage other environmental and/or safety-related items including, but not limited to, groundwater runoff monitoring, industrial hygiene, the hearing conservation program, and others

Serve as primary liaison with the workers’ compensation carrier and coordinate return-to-work and modified-duty programs for injured employees
Maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and the hazard communication program, including chemical inventory and labeling
General:
Serve as the primary point of contact for facility emergencies and safety incidents
Support continuous improvement initiatives and RECONCRAFT’s ISO 9001:2015 quality assurance program
Promote a culture of safety awareness, accountability, and continuous improvement across the organization
Other tasks as required to support the company’s objectives and growth

Preferred Knowledge/Experience:

Experience in a marine, shipyard, or composites/fiberglass manufacturing environment
