As an Unarmed Security Guard , you will be responsible for providing a visible security presence and maintaining a safe and secure environment within a government, corporate, retail, or commercial setting . This role requires professionalism, strong situational awareness, and excellent customer service skills.

Primary responsibilities include conducting foot patrols, monitoring surveillance and alarm systems, controlling access and egress, observing and reporting suspicious activity, and responding appropriately to safety or security concerns. Officers are expected to complete accurate reports and maintain detailed logs in accordance with post orders and company policy.

In addition to physical security duties, this position actively supports SSC's G.Principles - Greet, Engage, and Thank , ensuring a positive experience for customers, visitors, associates, and employees.

Conduct routine and random security patrols on foot or by vehicle, as assigned

Monitor CCTV, alarms, and access control systems

Serve as a liaison with local law enforcement when necessary

Customer Service & Engagement (G.Greet and welcome customers, guests, tenants, and associates in a professional and courteous manner

Engage proactively with individuals to provide assistance, information, or direction

Anticipate and respond to customer questions regarding the site, surrounding area, and available services

Troubleshoot customer concerns and escalate issues to management when appropriate

High school diploma or GED required

Must possess or be able to obtain a State Unarmed Security Guard License , if required by state or local law

One (1) year of security experience

Proficient basic computer skills (e.g., report writing, Microsoft Office)

Proactive, dependable, and able to work with minimal supervision

Must be able to operate radios, telephones, and monitoring equipment

Must be personable, approachable, and capable of building rapport with the public

Veterans may be required to provide a DD214 upon offer of employment
