Production Worker - Auto Clave

ATI is currently seeking a Production Worker for its Autoclave department at the Oakdale, PA facility. In this role, you will support the atomization process, which converts molten metal into powder using high‑pressure inert gas. The powder is later processed back into solid components for aerospace, nuclear, and national defense applications.

This position requires mechanical aptitude, accurate measurement, and proficiency with hand and power tools while operating the atomizing unit. Responsibilities include preparing the melt chamber equipment, charging the furnace, monitoring heat chemistry, preparing liquid pour for atomization, and working independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Weigh raw materials and oversize powder to meet required product chemistry.
• Prepare heats efficiently and accurately to promote continuous atomization.
• Perform multiple refractory tasks.
• Thoroughly clean, assemble, inspect, and install all equipment required for melt preparation.
• Verify all equipment and materials are ready for atomization, including documentation review.
• Perform removal and installation of the furnace into the melt chamber, including digging out, grouting, and installing blanket and ground fault.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing, military, or industrial experience.
• Basic computer skills.
• Mechanically inclined.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
