Position Overview

Artemis Research is a leading principal investigator- and patient-focused clinical research company established in 2008. Specializing in Psychiatry/Neurology, Internal Medicine, and Women’s Health studies, Artemis operates multiple fully equipped clinical trial sites across Southern California and beyond. In partnership with Headlands Research, we leverage cutting-edge technology and exceptional support services to advance clinical research while broadening community outreach.

We are looking for an experienced Clinical Laboratory Technician/Phlebotomist to support day-to-day laboratory operations at our San Diego site. This is a full-time opportunity with Compensation: $23-$27/hr. Additionally, the role requires no remote work, involves minimal travel (<10%), and follows a schedule of Monday & Thursday (8:30am-5pm) and Tuesday, Wednesday, & Friday (7:00am-3:30pm).

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and ship laboratory specimens per protocol requirements
  • Perform phlebotomy procedures
  • Conduct inventory of study-specific and Artemis laboratory supplies, maintain accurate records, and order supplies as needed
  • Maintain a working knowledge of laboratory manuals for all studies
  • Ensure high-level organization of the laboratory and complete all necessary logs regularly

Required Qualifications

  • Licensed as a phlebotomist in the state of California
  • Previous experience with lab draws/phlebotomy is preferred; newly licensed phlebotomists with no previous work experience may be considered
  • At least one year of experience managing a lab, including ordering and inventory control, is preferred
  • Commitment to delivering excellent customer service
  • Excellent communication skills with a punctual, responsible, and well-organized work ethic
  • Trustworthy, reliable, and detail-oriented with a mature and pleasant demeanor
  • Willingness to learn new tasks and grow with the company
