Job Description for Order Picker:

In the position of a Order Picker at Aramark, your primary function is to contribute to the smooth and accurate flow of products within the warehouse setting. This entails actively participating in tasks related to inventory control, order processing, and the upkeep of a tidy and safe work environment.

Qualifications for Order Picker:

• Individuals need to be 18 years old or older
• A high school diploma or GED is the desired qualification
• Two years of experience in a warehouse environment is preferred
• The basic skills of reading, writing, and arithmetic are crucial
• Basic computer literacy
• Strong aptitude for effectively conveying messages through writing and speech
• Proficiency in manipulating tools with physical coordination
• Able to hoist up to 50 pounds in weight, with frequent lifting and bearing of loads up to 35 pounds
• Having a valid driver's license may be necessary depending on the location, and an evaluation of the Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) will be carried out

• Monitor and tag received items; communicate any inconsistencies found in the shipments versus the provided invoices
• Utilize the FIFO method to organize perishable products based on their entry sequence for enhanced storage control
• Perform tasks involving the operation or training in the use of manual and electric pallet jacks and forklifts as necessary
• Gather and arrange items to satisfy orders for products, supplies, and tools
• Transport, deliver, and shift goods within the warehouse premises or to designated customer destinations utilizing carts or powered transportation
• Carry out inventory audits as per the schedule
• Precisely fill out all necessary documentation, which may include maintaining inventory logs, conducting temperature verifications, recording spoilage incidents, and inspecting equipment, using either paper-based or digital systems
• Ensure cleanliness and upkeep of warehouse zones, including restroom facilities, employee break rooms, loading areas, and elevated platforms
• Comply with safety measures, OSHA requirements, guidelines outlined in Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and emergency response protocols
• Ensure the use of proper Personal Protective Apparatus (PPA)
• Preserve the safety of both client and corporate belongings
• Communicate professionally with clients, coworkers, suppliers, and visitors during interactions
• Be present at gatherings and fulfill any other responsibilities delegated
